Overview
The DCD-1-12kV outdoor high-voltage isolating switch (high-end model) is a single -phase outdoor pole-mounted isolating switch. It provides maintenance personnel with a visible break point and can also serve as a disconnection point. It features a double-pole design, with insulators and bolts secured to a hot-dip galvanised base. The switch is operated by pulling the handle. The default limit stop for the isolator blade when open is set at 160° (this can be adjusted on-site to 90° or removed to eliminate the limit stop). When installing this isolator, an optional mounting plate is available; during installation, this plate can be clamped onto the crossarm to secure the switch.
Installation method
The DCD-1-12kV outdoor single-pole isolating switch is available in singlecolumn and double-column mounting configurations. Installation types comprise suspended or vertical mounting. Installation may utilise a single crossarm clamp or double crossarms (refer to the product catalogue for specific installation diagrams). The M12 bolts on the terminal blocks must be tightened by the installer to a torque of approximately 80 N·m.
Refer to the diagram below for specific installation methods, noting the orientation of the bolts.
